Meet Lola Dee

Hey there! I'm Lola of Lola Dee Photography, and I am the owner, operator, technician, counselor, and entrepreneur of this LLC. I have a heart for shelter animals, horseback riding, and the outdoors. I'm a dog person who would choose the mountains over the beach, stripes over polka dots, white wine over red, daisies over roses, and boots over heels. I love rescue animals, capturing love, and being a part of His love (see below for links).

I've had a love for photography since I can remember as I have often been the one to take "artsy" photographs of everyday life. From taking a photo of a sunset from a reflection on a window to laying on the ground to capture an apple that had been tossed aside on Bowman Field (GO TIGERS!), I guess you can say I can't get enough of the beauty that God has put around me each and every day. I gained an appreciation for film photography when I took a class at Clemson University and was thrilled to get my first digital SLR (a Canon Rebel) in 2010.

Familiar with Myers-Briggs? I'm an ENFP - nearly 100% E (extrovert). I LOVE people and get my energy from being around others. It was only a matter of time (cue my 20's when everyone started to get engaged) before I realized that I could couple my love of photography with that of capturing the beauty of human relationships and being around others (fancy way of saying I was asked to photograph a friend's wedding - AND I LOVED IT). Thus "Lola Dee Photography" was born and established in 2013.

I have since been blessed to be published in the Columbia Metro Magazine, Carolina Bride Magazine, The Columbia Fig Magazine, as well as several online publications. Lola Dee Photography was recently named one of the top wedding photographers in Columbia, South Carolina (click here to see!). I am a member of Professional Photographers of America as well as Professional Photographers of South Carolina and remain an active member in the community as I support a local non-profit military organization that focuses on assisting veterans and their families.
