Becky and Tripp tied this knot this past weekend, so I can finally share Becky’s bridal portrait blog with you! We had a little difficulty getting the bridal portraits scheduled, but it all worked out in the end. We had originally planned to do her portraits in the fall because she had her dress and everything ready to go so far ahead of time! Unfortunately, Hurricane Matthew hit South Carolina at that time and put a hold on those plans. We then reset the date for March using a venue in Aiken, South Carolina. That fell through due to scheduling conflicts with the venue. At this point, it was evident that Becky was looking for a unique location for her bridal portraits. So when Michele at Aeolian Hill Plantation in Saint Matthews, South Carolina reached out to me announcing the new venue, I immediately thought of Becky and proposed the idea. She loved it, and the date was set! The Plantation was built in 1872, and it provided the perfect backdrop to capture some gorgeous, southern bridal portraits!
We had fun taking pictures in the various rooms inside the plantation while it lightly rained outside. There were so many great rooms that offered beautiful backdrops to Becky’s bridal portraits.
The rain paused long enough for us to run outside and grab some outdoor portraits as well. I’m simply in love with these portraits!
Becky, you are such a joy to be around! I really enjoyed exploring this new venue with you and your mother while capturing these portraits! You are beautiful both inside and out (and your dress is simply stunning!)!
I highly recommend you check out Aeolian Hill Plantation to plan your next wedding. It’s a gorgeous venue with endless picturesque locations for portraits. I would absolutely love to go back there to capture more portraits and even a wedding!
